MISSION RANCH FILMS PROJECTS
Inspired by a true story, RAG DOLL is an edgy, thought-provoking short film about a woman who’s married to a gay man.
RAG DOLL is the first official project of Mission Ranch Films, and was just completed in April, 2015.
It won the Audience Award for Best Short at the Louisiana International Film Festival in May, 2015, and was an Official Selection at the Portland Film Festival in September, 2015. With any luck, it will screen at a number of film festivals throughout the rest of the year (check our calendar for updates!).
Because RAG DOLL is currently in competition, a password is required to view this film on our Vimeo page. Please contact us to request the password.

IN BEVERLY'S BOSOM
What happens when a messed up Hollywood socialite suddenly decides to move to Montana to help save at risk kids? Everything.
This mockumentary style sit-com developed by John Marsico, Ben McManus, and Zena Dell Lowe, will shoot entirely on location at the Mission Ranch. Beverly may be as screwed up as the kids she’s trying to help, but her genuine love for them will both entertain and touch your heart. Stay tuned for more!
Finding Skye is the full-length feature drama version of Rag Doll, currently in development with cinematographer and internationally renowned speaker Barry Braverman (www.BarryBraverman.com).
This extended version shows a more complete picture of Skye Jericho, a broken woman who’s married to a gay man. Skye’s world is already on the verge of imploding when her Mom is diagnosed with terminal cancer. While it seems this latest blow will finally destroy her, the experience actually gives her the strength she needs to finally receive healing – emotionally, physically, and even spiritually.
Finding Skye will be the first full-length feature film project for Mission Ranch Films, and you’re invited to join the excitement! This is a project we’ve believed in for a while. The film will be shot entirely in Montana. To find out more about how you can be involved, sign up for our Monthly Newsletter, and be sure to check our calendar for upcoming events. We would love to have you on our Finding Skye team.
BOZANGELES is a half hour comedy series that follows the unlikely friendship between DEIRDRE DELANCEY, a wealthy, awkward, middle-aged Yellowstone Estates Resident, and CHASE CARLSON, a local, self-assured, Montana outdoor enthusiast, who shows Deirdre the spiritual renewal that Montana can bring to those who truly embrace it.
Created by Brian Branton and Zena Dell Lowe, this series aims to incorporate a high degree of multi-media marketing. Each episode will include exciting footage highlighting some aspect of Bozeman’s outdoor activities, and will seek to find corporate sponsorship from companies interested in having their products creatively advertised. The outdoor sports scenes will help promote the local area as a tourist destination, while also highlighting national brands and merchandise. As a cross genre show, we will interject live action with comedy, and incorporate product placement and other innovative advertising techniques to help promote stores and brand merchandise in a non-traditional way.
For more information, or to find out how your store or brand can be an advertising sponsor, please contact us.
TRIAL BY FIRE
TRIAL BY FIRE is based on the true story of the very first female fire-fighter ever to be hired by the Dallas Fire Department in the 1970's.
Not long ago, Fire Stations were strictly boy's clubs, but that all changed when 19-year-old Sherrie Clark, a 6'2' beauty with a body like wonder-woman, did something that no other woman had done: she qualified. In this classic tale of a struggle for equality, Sherrie must prove herself in a male-dominated world. It's 'Erin Brockovich' meets 'Chicago Fire,' with all the racism, sexism, and crassness of the 70's. In the end, we are moved, not just by Sherrie's heroism, but also by the courage of the brave firemen who conquered their own deeply-rooted biases to welcome Sherrie as one of their own.
This project just won the Best Screenplay Birch Award for “Her Story - Women Screenwriters” at the West Field Screenwriting Awards in April, 2015. It is still in the script development phase, so check back for more information.
